Portugal

Portugal is located on the western tip of the Iberian Peninsula; with a coastline of more than 850 kilometres that stretches from North to South and its Atlantic Islands, it offers a varied landscape and climate ideal for every holiday type.

The Tagus River divides the country between North and South – the North having a more mountainous and greener landscape and the South characterized by a warmer and dryer climate. The Archipelagos of Azores and Madeira also belong to the Portuguese territories and have a subtropical climate.

Portugal claims to be the oldest established country in Europe, dating back to the XII Century and as such, historical sites, buildings and traditions can be seen throughout the country.

In the last ten years or so, Portugal has equalled its neighbouring Spain in tourism excellence and now offers a very good selection of resorts, hotels, golf courses with competitive prices and of course, the sun!
