Madeira is famous for its unique levada and mountain walks. These scenic trails cover valleys, mountains, forests, waterfalls and levadas – man made channels transporting water from the north of the island down to the drier south. There are over 2,000km of them all over Madeira.

Day 1 Thursday: Dublin to Funchal
Direct flight from Dublin to Funchal where you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel of your choice.
Day 2 Friday: Ribeiro Frio-Portela (Full day)
10km Levada walk through natural vegetation with scenic views over gorges and valleys with the Penha D’Aguia in the background.
Day 3 Saturday: Prazeres-Ponta do Pargo (Full day)
12km walk from Prazeres to Ponta do Pargo, passing by raposeira, Fajã da ovelha and overlooking the fishing village of Paúl do Mar.
Day 4 Sunday: Rabaçal (Full day) or Day at Leisure
9km levada walk with stunning views of valleys, waterfalls and heather forests. Alternatively, take this as a day of leisure and do the Rabaçal walk on Wednesday.
Day 5 Monday: Queimadas-Caldeirão Verde (Full day)
Walk 12km of Madeira’s oldest Levadas surrounded by the Laurisylva vegetation and stunning landscapes of valleys, waterfalls, sea and mountains.
Day 6 Tuesday: Marocos (Half day)
Starting in Maroços and ending in Ribeira Seca, this 9km walk explores the Machico area surrounded by vegetable and fruit filled terraces and thousands of flowers.
Day 7 Wednesday: Rabacal (Full day) or Day at Leisure
Day of leisure or Rabaçal walk. See day 4 for details.
Day 8 Thursday: Funchal to Dublin
Pick up from your hotel to Funchal Airport where you will fly direct to Dublin.
