Grand Hotel Miramare 4*
Built in 1922, the patrician villa of the Lo Turco family was transformed into a hotel in 1926, which is today known as the Miramare Hotel. There have been various conservation projects throughout the years, the last of which took place in 1992 in the form of extensive restoration work, which maintained the antique charm of a residence out of another era and respected the style of both the villa and the furnishing of the rooms, while at the same time adding all the comforts required for an elegant and relaxing vacation.
LOCATION
The Miramare Hotel is located about 300m from Taormina centre, with the cable car to Mazzaro Bay only a couple of minutes away. A small mini bus runs regularly outside the hotel to the beach at a nominal charge. A path of 187 steps winds down through terraced gardens to the tennis court and swimming pool. Due to its elevated position, we do not recommend this hotel for those with walking or difficulties.
ACCOMMODATION
The hotel’s 68 rooms are quiet, bright and air-conditioned and are equipped with en suite shower or bath, minibar, telephone, hair dryer, safe, air conditioning (June to September), SAT TV and Pay TV. Rooms with balcony and sea view are available at supplement.
