Island of Korcula
Korcula is one of the largest and most attractive of Croatia’s islands with unspoiled coves, beaches, lush upland valleys and extensive vineyards. A favourite with Greeks 2000 years ago, this walled town and harbour, with its many medieval treasures, gives plenty of variety to the visitor – lovely walks, sports and water sports facilities and many bars and seafood restaurants where you can sample the local wine Grk. Reputed to be the birthplace of Marco Polo, Korcula is often referred to as “the Dubrovnik on the islands”. Two centre holidays with Dubrovnik are ideal to see more of the country.
